Once a month, on a Friday evening, we gather in silence to explore an urban theme through handwriting on a rooftop in the heart of Athens.

What is the Desired Writing Club? 
One hour of silent, uninterrupted handwriting on cities.

Why do we write?
At Desired Landscapes, we see writing as a tool to understand places, gain perspective, and connect with our inner voice. This Friday ritual helps us stay accountable to our writing desires – whether you’re working on a book, a newsletter, a list, or just a caption. Writing in a group can ease writer’s block and silently connect us with fellow writers. 

Who is it for?
Each session is limited to 8 participants who wish to explore or document cities through words. 

How does it work?
The editor of Desired Landscapes sets the tone and timer, offering gentle guidance to begin. Sharing your text is optional. After writing, we ease into conversation, exchanging emerging thoughts and connecting with other urban lovers who live in, or pass through, Athens. 

Where?
Rooftop of Stoa Anatolis, 10–12 Aristidou St, Athens.
Suspended above the city’s pulse, this space invites a different kind of attention – still, spacious, and ideal for focus.

Join us for a moment of stillness, creativity, and connection. ✍️ 

Paper will be provided, just bring your favorite pen or pencil. 
No laptops, so we can enjoy the perks of handwriting. (Let us know if that’s an issue for you.)
