BIBLIOGRAPHY #5 Greek Lettering

Chris was born in Australia in 1980 and moved to Greece at an early age. He had a fondness for letters from early on, and spent his days scribbling, which led to an obsession with graffiti in the mid to late 90s. After a lengthy break due to work commitments and another obsession, music, he decided to get back into letters after discovering pointed pen calligraphy and signwriting. He currently works as a sign painter in Athens, and spends his free time exploring the streets for old signs.

We’re excited to host Christopher at Desired Pocket for a bibliography session. He will join Natassa Pappa, the founder of Desired Landscapes, for a half-hour discussion about Greek lettering and his walks in Athens capturing a fading history of sign painting, while browsing through five of his favorite books on this almost lost craft.
