DECEMBER Writing Club
The Desired Writing Club began as a Monday ritual, so what better way to close another season, all together, on the final Monday of 2025!
Join a group of urban enthusiasts – writers, creatives, amateurs and tourists – on December 29th for one hour of uninterrupted writing. This time we'll be gathering online, welcoming participants from any city who want to silently explore their urban thoughts through handwriting, to then turn into a conversation.

What is the Desired Writing Club?
One hour of silent, uninterrupted handwriting on cities.
Why do we write?
At Desired Landscapes, we see writing as a tool to understand places, gain perspective, and connect with our inner voice. This ritual helps us stay accountable to our writing desires – whether you’re working on a book, a newsletter, a list, or just a caption. Writing in a group can ease writer’s block and silently connect us with fellow writers.
Who is it for?
Anyone interested in exploring or documenting cities through words. No prior writing experience is needed.
How does it work?
The editor of Desired Landscapes sets the writing tone and a timer, offering gentle guidance to begin. Sharing texts is optional, we mainly use writing to spark a conversation to close the session with.

What's special this time?
This will be our first online writing club, aiming to bring together participants from all previous writing clubs and workshops, next to new voices who couldn't make it to Athens.
