On sunny Friday mornings, we gather at the rooftop of Stoas Anatolis to explore our urban thoughts through handwriting.

What is the Desired Writing Club? 
One hour of silent, uninterrupted handwriting, in an uber urban location.

Why do we write?
At Desired Landscapes, we see writing as a tool to understand places, gain perspective, and connect with our inner voice. This ritual helps us stay accountable to our writing desires – whether you’re working on a book, a newsletter, a list, or just a caption. Writing in a group can ease writer’s block and silently connect us with fellow writers. 

Who is it for?
You don’t need to be a writer. Anyone who loves cities and wants to bring writing into their everyday life may join. Emerging, practicing, or published writers – all are welcome. This gathering is open to 12 participants who wish to stay accountable to their writing desires.

How does it work?
The editor of Desired Landscapes sets the tone and a timer, offering guidance more as an inspiration to kick off. There will be no sharing of texts (unless you’d like to), but as the writing hour resumes, we’ll ease into conversation, exchanging emerging thoughts and connecting with other urban lovers who live in, or pass through, the city of Athens.  

Where?
On the rooftop of Stoa Anatolis. Suspended above the city’s pulse, this space invites a different kind of attention – still, spacious, and ideal for focus.
