On this walk, we follow the overlooked exit signs of the passageways in the heart of Athens, to discover a city within a city that even locals leave unnoticed.
- We’ll visit the underlying network of stoas, rich in juxtaposed architectural and typographical styles from antiquity up to today.
- Discover unique family stores and the city’s urban myths, while decoding the stoas’ distinctive character.
- Learn about the anonymous Greek design history, the disappearing signs, and how people use them to navigate in the city.
- Walk through variations of the “stoa” typology and get to know about the transformation of the city and how locals relate to it.
